Brain Storming Audience Research

Why do we do audience research? 
So we know WHO to aim our films at so we can keep coming back to them for more feedback on our film.

Brain Storm: 




  • Do Questionnaires - open/closed questions, polls, ticking boxes. Perhaps less in-depth, but easier to ask a larger number of people.
  • Focus Groups - get a group of about 4-5 people and have an in-depth discussion about your film and use probing questions to get more feedback. The only problem with this method is that there is only a small number of people. 
  • Think about Audience Profile e.g. This is Amber, she is 18 years old and is studying her A Levels at sixth form......
